exporting and running html5

I have just began to explore Gideros and I have tried exporting some of the example projects to html5 and tried running them both on a web host and local server. The exports begin to load the Gideros splash screen then just go to a blank screen. What am I doing wrong?

If you are using chrome then go to more tools > developer tools and look at 'console' - that is like the print console in the normal editor and it will give you a clue.

Can the entire package be place in the root folder of server or do the scripts need to be elsewhere such as cgi-bin?

It seems that the problem is with loading the gideros.js
The developer control in Firefox says missing closing } on line 14. But I can't open gideros.js to view it. The file will not open with notepad or a JavaScript editor.

I @Creekmonkey, are yout using 2017.2 version ? Because I get similar issues with that latest version, I suppose something went wrong when the template was built. I am on the case

Yes @hgy29 I am using version 2017.2. Do earlier versions export to html5 correctly?

I am not sure in which version the problem actually appeared, but I suppose 2016.12 series were affected too.

Anyway I think I fixed it. Can you try the attached template (replace the files in /Templates/Html5/Html5 with the archive content).

I @hgy29. Replaced the template files with the archive. Exported the button example and uploaded to server. It opens the gideros HTML page and the downloading image is active but just stays there and never loads the actual button page. You can view it here. http://creekmonkey.x10host.com/h/gideros.html

Hi @hgy29 , I replaced the template files again and uploaded button example to server. When tested the button example worked on windows 7, and 8.1 with both internet explorer and firefox. Worked on iphone with safari as well but failed to load on android using either native browser or firefox.

Yes it looks like Android browser doesn't like gideros apps very much Not sure what happens here, because no log...
Has anyone ever tried gideros html with an Android browser in the past ?

EDIT: in the end it works when reducing memory requirements. I have a pretty low end device with not that much ram, and html5 export for gideros uses a lot of ram. Maybe that's your case too ?

I tried reducing memory down to 16mb but still wouldn't load on android

16MB may be too low, I wouldn't go below 64MB.
Also can you try to replace the following file in the template ? it may help reduce memory footprint while loading.

replaced the jzptool.js in the template folder exported at 64 mg memory and tested. Still not working on android. My android is a low end with little memory so it is possible its just my device...... although the button example I exported runs very slow now even on windows pc.

Just a thought.. have you turned your phone off completely and then on again before testing?
