Smilies always at the end of the text

Just a little issue which I couldn't find as a forum topic so I have to assume it is unknown...
When I type some text for a post and then decide to add a smiley at some random position the smiley is added at the end of the text and not at the cursor position. :-/ (I wanted to add this smiley after the three points at the end of the first line but it was dropped here)
It is not that bad. Just annoying.
