Fonts - Are other file formats supported?

I see that Gideros has support for bitmap fonts. Are any 3rd party tools supported besides Gideros own Font editor?
And could you please explain the syntax of the font text file?

These 3rd party bitmap font creators support BMFont format (most probably you've already heard of them):

Gideros doesn't natively support BMFont format (but we plan to) but we've developed a easy to use library to use BMFonts within Gideros:

The format of font text file is:
character code
x y
width height
advancex advancey (multiple of 64)

But I don't recommend to dig into this format because we're planning to move to BMFont's format without breaking backward compatibility.

I use Glyphdesigner. Which export option should I use?

.fnt - Cocos2D
.fnt - Sparrow XML
.txt - EZGui

Is Kerning info supported?

you should choose .fnt - Cocos2D. Kerning info is currently ignored.

Ok, I exported a font from Glyphdesigner as Cocos2D but it locks the Playe rup on OSX.

Are you using Font or BMFont class? You should use BMFont. (you can download BMFont here: https://github.com/gideros/BMFont)

@Stoffe told that using the output of Glyphdesigner in Font class locks the player.

If you're using BMFont and still the player is freezing, can you email me the exported font?
